Good morning! Instead of enjoying good mexican food and a margarita last night for Cinco de Mayo, I spent the good part of the evening in the ER with the little man who had a temperature of 104.5. He’s fine now (why do these things always happen when Straw is out of town?). Just when I starting to get better, poor P got sick yesterday. The good thing was the whole weekend wasn’t spoiled. We went to a nice BBQ at a friend’s house Saturday night and hung out in the yard. Today we’re having P’s room and our bathroom painted (as I’m trying to shove all the stuff out of one room to another (never enough time in the day to get stuff like that done.) Straw and I are champion “shovers” of crap from one place to the next. Just don’t venture in our garage.
Because I love seeing what celebrities wear on red carpets, tonight is the Costume Institute Gala a.k.a The Met Ball in New York City. The ball celebrates the annual opening of the Metropolitan Museum’s fashion exhibit at the Costume Institute. Vogue.com will be streaming the red carpet live at 7pm EST.
Because my brother refers to me as “the bag lady,” (and I love all kinds of purses and bags) I put together a list of my favorite summery totes (as we’re starting to plan summer vacations and park picnics). I have a stripe canvas duck bag from Baggu and it’s a great tote for the farmer’s market or to throw sand toys into.
Have a nice Monday!
