One of my favorite holidays is the Fourth of July and I have started the hunt for a cute red, white and blue outfit for P. Thought I’d put together a curated list of what I’ve come across (and thought it was only fair to include girls clothes as well. If I had a girl, I’d be broke!) And I know, I lean towards a more conservative look for kids (when you search “boat shoes” and “nubucks” for your 3 1/2 year old, you might be living on the wrong coast.)
Flag logo hat from Old Navy ($7.94)
Stripe bow dress from Gap ($24.95)

Girls Boat neck dress from Mini Boden ($30.00)

Yesterday was P’s first day of summer and he wanted to stay home and play games (which is fine, but not when your day starts at 6:30 am). This morning he was up at 5:45 am yelling “unsnuggle yourself!!!!” and yanking my arm to get me out of bed. And then he was telling me he was hungry (um, not at 6 am you’re not). I put him back in bed. He told me he’d be more comfy in my bed but we’ve already made that mistake with a 90+ pound labrador.
Weekend will be swimming at the pool and then we have a wedding tomorrow night (I still have not managed to get into my salon and my hair is more trailer park than ombre. Never again.) The last time I got my brows waxed, she went too far and I ended up looking like a gang member. So now I have bad dark roots and eyebrows that are starting to grow in (imagine that look?), plus no tan in a Kate Spade dress. Basically I feel like the bus driver from South Park.
Have a great weekend! C
